Understanding Ultraformer MPT®

Book a consultation with RN Linda Burnett to discuss whether Ultraformer MPT® may be suitable for your individual circumstances.
Individual responses and outcomes vary. Treatment may involve discomfort, and temporary effects can occur following treatment. Suitability, potential benefits, limitations, risks, recovery, aftercare and alternative options will be discussed during your consultation.

How does Ultraformer MPT® work?

Ultraformer MPT® is a High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) device used in cosmetic practice. It delivers focused ultrasound energy to selected tissue depths beneath the skin.

The treatment is intended to stimulate the body’s natural healing response, including collagen remodelling. Published clinical studies have reported improvements in the appearance of mild to moderate skin laxity in appropriately selected patients. Individual responses vary.

What happens during an appointment?

Following a comprehensive consultation to determine whether treatment is appropriate for you, your appointment may include:

Step 1
Your Registered Nurse will cleanse the treatment area and remove any makeup or skincare products.

Step 2
The treatment area will be assessed and marked according to your individual treatment plan.

Step 3
Ultrasound gel is applied to assist with treatment delivery.

Step 4
The Ultraformer MPT® handpiece is placed against the skin to deliver focused ultrasound energy at selected treatment depths. Treatment duration varies depending on the areas being treated.

When might I notice changes?

Responses to treatment vary between individuals.

Some people may notice gradual changes over time. Whether any additional treatment may be appropriate depends on individual response, clinical assessment, skin quality and treatment goals.

Your Registered Nurse will discuss realistic expectations during your consultation.

Is Ultraformer MPT® suitable for everyone?

No.

A consultation is required before treatment to assess your medical history, skin concerns and treatment goals. During this appointment we will discuss:
  • whether Ultraformer MPT® may be appropriate for you
  • potential benefits
  • limitations of treatment
  • possible risks and adverse effects
  • alternative treatment options where appropriate.
Not everyone will be a suitable candidate.
